As you have notice further changes have taken place within Cyaxx. Steve has decided that he wants pursue a career as a Hardcore/Dance percussionist; therefore Cyaxx was no longer able to provide the music he wanted to involve himself with.
Since his departure we have auditioned a new drummer by the name of Jonny Browning, we have began writing and getting our existing material up together and all that can be said is that things have never sounded this good!
We are looking forward to a great future and we can finally start gigging regularly again very soon, the demo is yet to be completed and we will commence the re-recording of our songs very soon.
We look forward to getting all our new ideas down since our last recording, and we hope that you enjoy what you hear.
Keep checking up on the music page, as the demos should be finished within the next week or so.
Until then we have been booked to play at the Green Room, Boscombe for Jonny’s first gig, we are busy booking gigs at the Joiners, Late and Live, Goldies, The King Alfred, The Firestation and many other great venues around the south.
As you can probably tell from the "Cyaxx is" part of the site, we have a new member of Cyaxx...
Hannah Marshall.
Unfortunatly things were not working out with Mark, so we had to release him as our singer, so the album is still in the mixing stages and we are due to re-record the vocals in a few weeks and have the final mix complete very soon.
The songs on the album may be slightly different to anybody that has come to our recent shows, bu we feel these chages are for the better.
Hannah has fit in immediately with the band, both in writing abilities and personality. We are looking forward to see what our new wave of imspiration has to bring.
...But you will have to wait and see what they are til later in the week, sorry the site hasnt been as up-to-date as usual but alot has been going on, we will fill you in within the next few days.
Sorry we havn't updated the web site the last month or so with new pic's and stuff it's been busy with recording the album and then christmas we havn't had time to.
So new picture's have been added to the gallery of the week at the recording studio hope every 1 will take a look at them and then add comments on the guest book.

We had a great gig on the 13th, We had the fantastic Searing Flame support us again, they really get the crowd warmed up and their rendition of Over the Hills and Far Away is amazing.
Cyaxx went on after and played 2 new songs that we had written, one called ‘Public Splinter’ and the other ‘The Prestige’ they both went down really well. We are planning by the end of the summer months to have many more original tracks done and record them on to what to be our first album! But that will come on time.
From good to bad, unfortunately we will not be appearing at Bar Bluu on the 26th April due to personal problems, but we are trying our hardest to fill up the gig list for May and we are still playing the Portman on the 25th April and Unit 22 on 20th June.

We have finished recording our first CD at Untapped Talent Recording studios; it has four track one being completely new and never heard before!!! The CD consists of 2 original Cyaxx songs and 2 of our most popular live songs.
Sound Clips are now available on the muic page and a new photos section has been added for picture of us in the studio.
We started recording on Wednesday 14th Feb around 11am at the Soul Cellar in Southampton, we wanted to do a live recording to capture that same energy on CD that we create live. We spent the whole day recording song after song; we picked our favorites and took them back to the studio to be mastered at his point when Steve decided he would venture into the sound proof booth, I (Rob) locked him in not knowing that the lock seizes up… needless to say he was stuck, Joe (sound engineer) took great pleasure in scaring Steve into believing there was only 2 hours oxygen left hehe.
Thursday came and we went into the studio for a whole day mixing the tracks recorded the previous day, the process went quite quickly and we all came up with all sorts of ideas for the final mix. At the end of the day we had the final version of the Headspace CD, Thank you to Joe and Matt at Untapped Talent for helping us out with the recording.
Moving on, the CD is up for sale now, but we are currently waiting for cases to be printed so there may be a slight delay if you order it now. I am going to set up a shop on the website selling the CDs (£3), Cyaxx T-shirts (£10) and other bits and pieces soon, it will be payable via Paypal or cheque.
Keep checking back as we will be starting to gig again very soon, our CD will also be available at gigs as well so we hope to see you there.
A demo of our instrumental Headspace is up now, it was recorded in October 06. It is an
un-mastered recording so it not full quality.
on the 14th and 15th we are in the studio to record a high quality demo, we have recorded a few but not one that is fit for release. We will keep you posted on the progress and it will be available when we start gigging again in the next month or so.
16/01/07 THE GREEN ROOM + NEW PICTURES
Our gig at The Green Room went great!!! We really enjoyed playing for Vicky, thank you to all of you who came. Vicky’s is sorting out some rock night with Subterfuge (www.subterfuge.biz) we will be playing a few nights around Bournemouth in the near future, but at the moment we are concentrating on getting hold of some recording gear to finally getting sorted a CD that we feel is good enough quality to give out to you guys!!! So bare with us we will be getting to it soon.
We have had a few gigs just before Christmas which all went good; we are currently booked to play at the Portman again on the 12th January for Rock night being held there. Our main goals for this year is to finish off a few songs we have been working, start playing them live, record them on an EP and start playing larger venues.
Hopefully we shall do this well within the year so we can go on to bigger and better things. Thank you for checking up and a happy new year.
Thankyou to everyone who came to The Starre, it wasnt the best place for our sort of music but it went down good thanks to our regulars. The Private gig was for Robyn's 18th was by far the best of the two, We all really enjoyed it and thanks to Searing Flame for the great support. As you may or may not know Searing flame will be doing quite a few gigs along side Cyaxx, Two types of good loud music which a contrst each other perfectly. Anyway we have two new gigs up and coming both at the Portman one on Tuesday 12th Dec 06 and one on Friday 12th Jan 07. Come along if you can look forward to seeing you moshing.
We did the starre which was a good gig apart from sam blowing his amp!!! but that means he will just have to get a bigger one DAMN *cough* anyway we have a gig next at the Manor Arms again on the 11th of November hope to see you all there soon. pics are up from the Starre now.
We have just come back from london after the recording session, we only managed to lay 4 track down as we only had about 6 hours to everything eg. set up, balance, record, master, pack up and finalize. The CD will be available at our gigs and via the site please keep a look out for it.
We have another gig but somewhere new, its at the Ye Olde Starre Inn on 28/10/06 near purewell crossroads, The more people the better so bring all your friends. look forward to seeing you there. We are recording our demo CD tomorrow so wish us luck, it wiill available very soon.
We have another gig at the The Manor Arms, Burton, Dorset 11/11/06 hope to see you there.
We did the portman last week which was to us the best we have ever done, everyone was giving 110% even the audience where singing/moshing/dancing. if you were there thankyou for making it amazing. From one good thing onto one great thing we have someone who has studio in london wanting us to record a demo. we are aiming for it to be around 8 of our best live songs, it will be on sale at gigs very soon.
Doing a demo means bigger gigs, like late and live, the oprah house and joiners but until that happens in the next few months we have a gig lined up at The Neptune bar in boscombe, it is a friends 18th birthday but being a bar other people can come and see us. Numbers in pokesdown is on the horizon we have gig booked but need to arrange a date for the next few weeks. As you can tell things are getting busy so until you turn MTV on and see us, come to our gigs.
We have a gig booked for the 17th october at the portman come check us out, also we have great support act aswell so thats always a bonus.
Save The London Astoria!
The London Astoria in Charing Cross Road has recently been bought out and plans are afoot to demolish the site and put up a shopping center. This place has hosted some great gigs such as Steve Vai, Muse and the Rolling Stones, we need to save this place.
Had a great gig last night at the green room. apart from the double booking, one band dropping out and a shortened set it went really well.
we had two new songs to bring to the masses this time around :D which went very well, but to get a standing ovation after only one song and have people coming from the street and packing the room out was a HUGE bonus. Thanks to all who came, we are currently trying to get more gigs at places like the firehouse in southampton, getting back to the salisbury arms. oh and the green room again as that it is such a great gig. thanks to all. Cyaxx
We are always being asked ‘why we are called CYAXX’, and ‘what does it mean’ well…..
‘CY’ is a crop abbreviation for ‘Calendar Year’ … and…
‘AXX’ is from a dictionary of military terms meaning ‘Acoustic/Air Warfare’.
Therefore, people, in short ‘CYAXX’ means ‘YEAR OF ACOUSTIC WARFARE’!!
The portman hotel has offered us another gig for the end of next month, but we should be having some more dates real soon.
Hi all, the third time at the manor arm, this time it was better then ever. thankyou to all who came to see us it was a good night of music. sorry for the delay with the pictures, they are on view now. more gigs coming soon will keep you all up to date

Hi all, we played Finn's in Weymouth friday night it was a great night, none of knew what to exspect but we pulled it off well. we were told by members of the audience that we sounded great and that it was good to hear decent REAL rock again :D
Photos of the gig are up so check them out, as you may or may not know we have a gig on friday 30th at the Manor Arm yet again, this time we are playing for 2 hours instead of the 1 hour we had at Finn's. Also Minion the headliners at Finn's have asked us to do some dates with them in the near future so we will keep you posted on that.
Cheers and hope to see you friday.
We have some new pictures up in the People part of the photo gallery check them out. As you know we have a gig tomorrow and we hope to see you all there.
Hi, we were meant to have a gig last nigh but due to problem with Mark's voice and Sam deciding to pick a fight with a stanly knife we had to cancel. it was the last thing we wanted to do but instead of doing 8 crap songs we would rather postpone the gig and do 15 great songs, we will keep you updated on when it is re-booked but until then the weymouth gig is our next one.
Also if any other bands are interested in being a support act let us know, email Rob on mrrob1988@hotmail.com we are looking for a good contrasting band.
A little late with the update but its here at last!!! We had a gig last Friday as you probably already know which went very well and our own song went down really well so its all good :D We have picture from the gig up on the website now so take look. The gig went great and thanks to all that came, we had a mosh going on when we did our last song, that was quite amusing to watch lol.
We have been asked back to the salisbury arms during peak times on a friday and saturday night, so gig dates are going to be enounced very soon.
Hi, we have a gig at The Salisbury Arms on the 30th March and we maybe having some more just before!!!
All are welcome, look forward to seeing you there. ROCK ON DUDES.
Hi, alot has happen in a short amount of time. We did the Manor Arms last night which went really well, this was a big gig for us for a two reasons. These being...
1st it was the butterfly appeal gig, we donated all entrance money to the appeal2nd we had a agent come and see usAfter we had finished the set we all spoke to the agent (Jannett) and she said that that she is willing to sign us up for a year with her as our agent!
This means more gigs, bigger venues. So Cyaxx is officialy a signed band as of April 2006.
We would also like to thank Marion who has helped us out alot, arranging gigs, Making
T-Shirts and basically being a massive help to the band.
Also to finish it all off we will be putting up some videos of us live from the Manor Arms in the very near future, Thanks to all that surport us.
Hi all, we have a gig at The Manor Arms in burton. We start at 9pm and finish at 11pm with a 30min break, we hope to see lots of people there as it very easy to get to and not out of the way of anywhere, see you soon.

We have some new songs to perform and know that you will love them so if you come you shall find out what they are hehe.
Kind of gave it away in the title really, click on our music tab and download the latest songs from our gig at The Burley Club on the 16th December. Enjoy
Hope everyone had a great christmas and enjoyed getting fat!!!
As a christmas prezzie there will be some new songs uploaded shortly from the gig at the Burley Club, and maybe in the future some videos. Anyway have a good time and a happy new year.
The gigs at The Plough and The Burley Club went really well... Well the plough went a little wrong due to the crappy P.A. but we just made do and we went down really well and have been asked to play there again. The Buley Club went really well (Different P.A.) it was a private 18th party but we didnt really know anyone lol, we gave this gig our best shot and turned a sceptical crowd into nut cases. it was same set from the night before just louder and in voodoo child Steve did a very abnormal drum solo (you will have to come to one of our gigs to find out why) which made the crowd wild. after the gig we had two people take the band's number and have some gigs lined up for next year.
As usual thanks to all that came and hope to see you in the new year, Have a good christmas and a happy new year.
Next year is going to be a busy one for Cyaxx as we have been offered some really good gigs around bournemouth with the likes of A.F.F, keep checking back for updates on these gigs.
